No matter how very hard i try my clothes never get as clean as they used to?i waste a huge amount and time on?
i waste a lot on detergents which carry wrong promises and yet do lilttle?
I know how you feel.Tide and all those expensive brands are supposed to work so well and they don't do any better than the cheap brands like Purex which doesn't get stains out especially the really bad ones.
I recently tried Arm & Hammer liquid detergent. I was brainwashed by all the commercials.
It is the best I've ever used.
This is how I do my laundry:
*It says to use 1/3 cap for regular loads.
I have always used extra to be safe:
1/2 cap for a small-medium,
3/4 for large &
1 full cap for super loads.
*For tough stains (I've used it on blood and grass stains with great results) I just pour some liquid into the cap, dip my fingers in, coat the stain in a layer of detergent and throw it in the washer. That last part is new to me. I think every other detergent wants you to let it sit a while. You don't need to do that with this one.
*I wash colors on warm, darks on cold & whites on hot with a lot of bleach.
*Check the clothes you pretreated to make sure they came clean. If not re-wash them. The dryer's heat will set the stains.
The 96 load bottle is about $9 @ Wal-Mart and Target (in NJ, at least)
They make smaller bottles if you'd rather try a little out first.
The exact one I use is Arm & Hammer 2X concentrate Lemon Burst Scent. It is in the yellow bottle (there are green ones out there that are different. It is NOT the one with oxiclean but that one probably works very well too.
I think you should give it a try.
