Leather Collar
Why does my cat lick his leather collar when I take off of him occasionally?
He doesnt lick anything else that is leather in the house (couch, belts, ect..)
It reminds him of his mother. Seriously. There is a smell associated with wet leather and wool that reminds them of nursing. He probably goes after the collar more because it has his own cat scent on it. I would not be surprised, however, if he likes the scent of leather shoes you have been wearing. My cat has a leather shoe fetish!
