What is the best way to play with my rats?

I have 2 female rats, they're litter sisters and under a year old. What is the best way for me to play with them? Ive heard they like bells, small dog toys, paper towel rolls, and greenies. I got them a cat toy feather thing and they seem to love it...for a little while then they get bored and walk away. What is the best way for me to interact with them and know that they're having a good time, not just being harassed by me.

Also, Rosie, the smaller one, is always getting into little tiffs with Mary,the larger one, accompanied with LOTS of squeaking and followed by one of them being on their back and the other grooming, or both of them standing up on their hind legs with their front paws touching and having a stare off. What should I do? Separate them for a little while?

however you want as long as they agree lol ive kinda gave up on trying to 'play'with my rats most of mine just want to run around my roomand hide food in most inconvenient places like in my wardrobe under clothes and also under my bed covers which is a pain lol so mostly when i have them out its just for cuddles and tickling them..........and blowing raspberry on their bellies! ahaha im not sure they approve of that but its just so much fun lol i do have one rat who stands out from the rest though, she just looooooooooooooooooooooooooooves being with people and will happily travel anywhere on my shoulder so i took her to my friends house like that once lol (never again though until she agrees to wear a harness!) i seem to be babbling completely off subject lol but anyway, with that particular rat she lovesa to wrestle with my hand and then jump madly round in circles and do strange things where i tthink im meant to chase her and then shell disappear for a minute and then suddenly jump back out like shes playing hide and seek or something. makes it hard for me to ever win since im not sure i know what were playing and what the rules are lol but as long as i chase after her she just keeps bouncing around madly and then wrestles my hand again. another thing she loves- throw the rat! i think i actually saw a video on youtube of someone doing that and they got loadsa bad comments saying theyre animal abusers and so on, but my rat loves it and the one in the video seemed to love it too. just make sure you throw them onto a bed or couch, not at the wall lol and theyll keeping running back to you to throw them again. so cute! ^_^ like i said, this is just one rat who wants to play with me every second of every day and when i try to leave shell bite my sleeve and try to pull me back. my other many lots of rats however arent like that. some just want cuddles and some just want me to bring them food and open the cage door so they can run around and trash my room lol so basically you really just leave them to choose if they want to play with you, maybe your rats just arent very playful. oh have you ever tried to train them? if you havent you should try that now. its not exactly my idea of fun, in fact i stopped training after my rats learnt come and up, oh and their own names, then i just couldnt be bothered anymore but if you do iteveryones a winner- you get well behaved rats that can do tricks for you and it keeps your rats active and works their little brains since they have to keep thinking what you wanted them to do and once they do it they get a treat so theyre even happier!
