What is a good hybrid surfboard for a 13 year old kid that surf small- medium size waves?

I am 13 years old and weigh 102 lbs. I surf usually at a place called Bolinas or Lindamar up in Northern California. The waves are small - medium size. I would say my experience level is a bit more then a beginner. I am looking for something from 6'4 to a little over 7'0. Could you suggest some boards/companies that would be a good board for me? Thanks!

What size surfboard you ride is dictated by your size (weight is important, not height), what local wave conditions are like, and your skill level.

Don't waste your time on line, we don't really know anything about you, or where you surf, and we don't have an opportunity to discuss these things with you. Go to a good local surf shop (or a shop where ever you usually surf) and discuss your options with the folks in the shop. And remember, unless its all you can afford, don't buy a sweat shop made board like NSP(

At the shop, they will discuss what you are looking for in surfing, and what works best in local surf conditions. be concerned for size and design, but don't get too hung up on "big name" brands, there are tons of great local shapers out there.

Be careful about taking on-line advice from kids who may know less about surfing than you do, and the internet phonies.

Anybody who recommends a specific size or design of a surfboard to a stranger on line is foolish. Anybody who would take that advice is MORE foolish. Besides, at 13, your parents should be working on this election with you. If they don't surf, how about an older sibling, or adult family friend who surfs?
