What's best for my puppy... a harness or a collar?

When my puppy's had all her jab's and is safe to go into the outside world... what will best for her a harness or a collar?

There's some lovely little collars about but i want her to be comfy.

What do you think?

I think i'll start with a collar as a pup (just incase she does want to dash anywhere) hehe and then when she's fully confident in the outside world and a little bit older i'll change to a harness.

I use a harness for the beginning leash training. When they are so young, unwise and fragile, I don't want to jerk their necks if they dart to chase something. As they mature and learn control, I switch to a collar .

I prefer the step-in or figure 8 harness to begin. They are so quick and easy to get on.
Begin your puppy in your home, walking him from room to room, and then in your yard, until he begins to learn that it is fun, and that he must yield to your control.
