How can I repair a place my dog chewed in the bathroom?

I had to put my dog in the bathroom when we had guests over, and she chewed the corners of the wood paneling(beadboard) that surrounds the bathtub. It sits at an angle so there is one corner that sticks out. It is stained dark brown, ( I guess a mahogany color,) and it looks pretty bad. The wood itself is not damaged, but the finish is scraped off. Is there anything I can do besides buying stain? Has anyone used those markers for furniture repair?

Yes I have used the markers and they work very well if you get the right color matched up.
Use the marker as per the instructions and then wipe it with a clean cloth repeat this if you need to until the color is right.
